Green Energy for Telecommunication Sectors
3 DAYS
INSTRUCTOR LED WORKSHOP
“OUR COURSES CAN BE SPECIALLY TAILORED TO ADDRESS YOUR REQUIREMENT – TELECONTRAN”
COURSE OBJECTIVES
There is a strong need to develop a viable independent power industry that serves the public interest by providing cost-effective electricity through the environmentally responsible and efficient development of the available energy resources.
Analysis indicates that energy costs already account for approximately 30% of network operating costs for a large MNO, and upwards of 60%. The high costs are due to an overdependence on diesel-generator-based solutions to supplement or replace grid-based electricity at off-grid and bad-grid tower sites—almost 90% of these sites use diesel generators.
Against a backdrop of rising global oil and energy prices there is a clear commercial imperative for MNOs and tower companies to explore and seriously consider alternative solutions that use green and renewable energy, several of which are already producing electricity at a cheaper cost than diesel-generators.
This workshop is a highly focused and in-depth training on green power, energy management, how renewable energy can minimize the environmental effects etc.
After successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the working principal of Telecommunications Power operation and maintenance and the global telecom incorporated standards.
- Evaluate and recommend alternative renewable energy storage technologies.
- Learn how Solar System and Wind Turbine work and what is their relationship with Battery bank and Power Plant
- Highlight future Telecom Power Solutions by using Hybrid Telecom power solution

OUR HAPPY CLIENTS
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT TELECONTRAN !!
The workshop enhanced my knowledge about solar power calculations, power consumption, earthing, different ways of power outage, lightning foundation, surge protection etc.
Very well explained the power terms that are required by telecom network.
Covering overall power plant system used in Telecommunication as well the planning and processing of the power system, I must say the course was very much useful in learning about Telecom Power System.
It covered all the aspects of telecom tower from the site survey, types of tower, OPEX and CAPEX of a tower site, construction of tower and maintenance plan plus safety procedures.
It was very informative session and have learnt a lot about Telecom Tower.
