COURSE OBJECTIVES
Satellite communication system play pivotal role in increasing the communication technology infrastructure globally, especially in rural places or areas where microwave or fiber optic based mobile / broadband communications are convoluted. The space industry has pointed out that in the past 5 years, the commercial market has been driving the advancement of satellite communications technology. Satellite Communications Systems is the only guide that covers the entire technology, from ground links through signaling, access, spacecraft, orbits and positioning.
This workshop on Advanced Satellite Network Engineering is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding on the most recent advancement in the field of satellite communication systems to develop an understanding of the major approaches including electromagnetics, quantum physics, relativity, orbital mechanics, information theory, and hardware design relevant to practical system design and analysis along with the deeper aspects of satellite communications, such as, RF modelling and error control coding.
