Course Duration

Course Objectives

This workshop is a comprehensive 3 day workshop covering all important aspects of Telecom Networks, applications and services as well as telecom regulations, costs, tariffs and tasks and to ensure a fair, equitable telecom environment.

Regulation is fundamental to the realization of the networked economy, as it plays a central role in setting a vision for the evolution of the telecoms market including, crucially, the types of market structure that will emerge. This course looks at how regulation has affected the telecom industries over the last several years, what service providers can do to be successful in such a regime, and the current and future issues for regulation.

The workshop provides an excellent grounding in telecommunications with the basics presented in clear and easy to understand format.

After successful completion of this 3 day workshop, participants will be able to

  • Understand the evolution of Telecommunications and the global trends in the telecom developments. Understand regulation and roles and responsibilities of the regulator Understand mainstream wireline and wireless technologies and applications. Understand the key differences among various transmission media and their associated transmission system. Explain the fundamental concepts of Data Communications and IP Networking Explore voice, data and video convergence along with Triple Play and Quad Play Comprehend the Cellular networking systems as well as other wireless radio system applications

Target Audience

This program is designed for professionals who are working in the telecom industry, specially telecom regulators and those who are involved in policy making and other regulations activities. At the same time, anyone who is interested to have knowledge in basic telecommunications can attend this course.
