5G and IOT

COURSE OBJECTIVES

As society runs rapidly into the information age new advancements in artificial intelligence, data processing, and wireless communications have given rise to the faster exchange of wireless data. The surge in mobile traffic is primarily driven by the proliferation of mobile devices and the accelerated adoption of data‐hungry mobile devices.

Mobile traffic is still growing and the need for more sophisticated broadband services will further push the limit on current standards to provide an even tighter integration between wireless technologies and higher speeds. With 4G speeds reaching comfortable download speeds up to 2 Gbps, expect the next jump to 5G to push mobile performance from 2.4Gbps topping out at nearly 20Gbps, boosting the performance and capabilities of newly wired fiber-optic networks. IOT solution will assist in connecting millions of devices within next 5 years with the evolution of communications that will bring the world to a faster, smarter future. With IoT enabled devices in mind, 5G is meant to connect more devices at higher speeds and make things like lag nearly non-existent, giving way to a seamless user experience.

Telecontran’s 5-day Workshop on 5G and IOT Network Design is designed to provide a concise synopsis of the key areas associated with the 5G System, with focus on the concepts and drivers, the 5G New Radio and NG-RAN, the end to end system architecture, Small cells, QoS as well as 5G Internet, IoT, IoT deployment in 5G Network.

After successful completion of this 5-day workshop participants will be able to

  • Understand a concise and accessible explanation of the underlying technology and standards for 5G technology
  • Learn different aspects of emerging system and network architectures, including Ultra-Dense Networks (UDN), Software-Defined Networks (SDN), Device-to-Device (D2D) communications.
  • Gain knowledge to plan, design and optimize a 5G network
  • Describe new 5G Radio Access Technology Interworking with LTE as well as New Radio (NR), Cloud RAN: Cloud- Radio Access Network (C-RAN) and Next Generation (NexGen) architecture.
  • Paint a more focused 5G technology roadmap, putting in place a clear set of challenges and requirements.
  • Investigate into IoT, radio access, M2M and edge computing.
